On Monday we had a meeting with Iain to show him what we have done and worked on since he last saw us. We showed him the updated back wall designs for the stand which he really liked, however now he would like picture frames / images on the wall which was one of our original ideas. He suggested that the vinyl table top designs should be lines and circles on the tables and square / rectangles on the back wall with a few images within them using the colour vinyl as a boarder. The table top designs have now been chosen for the main 4 tables and the other half tables which can be seen below. Originally we had the tables in pairs running horizontal on the stand however Iain said they do not fit that way therefor Sian has changed them on Sketch Up to vertical facing the wall. In addition to those points Iain said that we should not do the LED Arts University Bournemouth sign because of the area the stand is in the Old Truman Brewery there is a lot of artificial light as well as the natural light coming through the entrance therefor the lights may not show up, therefor we will use a Vinyl sticker just like last years. When we were in the crab on Friday we saw that they have lots of stalls in a steel and a wooden top, therefor these will now be used for GFW instead or ordering some new orange ones these would really go with the whole 'bright industrial’ theme as well as saving some money to now put towards the vinyl stickers.
Last Thursday myself, Armani and Charlotte had a meeting with Elle, Iain and Penny about the makeup and hair looks for the Bournemouth Show and Graduate Fashion Week show. They still really like the use of the monochrome paint on the eyes, they have now suggested to introduce metallics and foils into the colour palette and which will be done on the more edgey models and collections. Due to the hair we had originally decided to have a sleek low pony but they then realised that may not work if people had high collars etc. They suggested a very sleek look using bobby pins and a higher up side pony tail just behind the ear. After this meeting I put together two final looks for the makeup one for the general subtle look and one for the edgey look, as well as one for the new hair which can be seen below. If these mood boards are followed through for the show I think it would look really good on the catwalk.
