Yesterday Sian, Yoko, Elle and I were in charge of the NIL Photoshoot pt.2, the day didn’t start off well because we were told that the photographers couldn’t make it. We had more outfits to shoot than we had originally thought and we could no longer use the studio as the photographers would not be present. However it turned out there was a slight miss communication between the tutors and the photographers, they were available which was fantastic. Zoe another model stepped in last minute as an extra, and everything started to slowly fall back into place after a confusing morning.
We sorted an order of what outfits were going to be worn by what model, this really helped with the organisation and the flow throughout the day. We ended up shooting the outfits outside on various different locations around the University campus which worked really well. Even though we did have a studio booked out we decided not to use it because the original shoot had been shot using natural light, but if we used a studio it would have been artificial lighting causing the photos to look dramatically different from one other. We started shooting at roughly 11am once the models had their hair and makeup done and finished at roughly 2pm. It was a very successful day considering the circumstances of us girls organising it without any help.
Later on that day I had a tutorial with Anna about our reports, my feedback was very useful thankfully I do not have to change much. Just a few tweaks here and there, adjust a few sentences and condense my word count as it cannot go over 2,200 words. This is something I will continue to work on from now up until hand in.
On Monday Sian and I completed cleaning the OSB Board tables for GFW, taking off all the tape and stickers left on from last year. As suggested by Iain I stuck all 3 moodboards of the hair and makeup on the studio walls for the level 6’s to look at prior to the show.
